Health, fitness, and wellbeing coaching

I’ve been working with Paul for a year and now am over 2 stone lighter and with considerable decreases in all body measurements and body fat. I would encourage anyone who wants to lose weight and improve their health and fitness to find their personal balance.

More than anything, my changes have increased my confidence and self-esteem to a level I have not known for a long time. I now feel in control of my weight and my life. Paul was the person who encouraged and helped me find mine and I will always be grateful to him for that.

Achieve your goals and build lasting healthy habits.

No gimmicks. No fads. Just small, sustainable changes.

What is fitness and wellbeing coaching? And how can it help me?

  • It’s a completely personalised, one-to-one coaching service, designed by me, for you, to help you feel fitter, healthier, and happier, and stay that way.

  • Sessions are delivered however you prefer, face-to-face if you’re nearby, or phone, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, or carrier pigeon if you’re further afield.

  • Choose from a range of packages built with your wants and needs in mind. Simply pick which best suits you.

  • All of the packages and sessions make use of my balance method, a truly holistic approach that I created to help you achieve lasting wellbeing.

The method consists of four elements:

  1. think - mindset, psychology, and behaviour change tools to help you build habits that last.

  2. eat - an individualised approach to nutrition that explores what works for you and suits your tastes, budget, beliefs, and goals.

  3. live - help with key lifestyle habits like sleep and stress reduction, for an all-round approach to fitness and wellbeing.

  4. move - coaching and guidance to create balanced activity and exercise habits that you enjoy, feel right for you, and give you exactly what you’re after.

Based on your goals and preferences, with support and guidance at every step, we work together to choose which elements and habits to focus on. We build them into your daily routine one by one and, over time, create the perfect balance for you.

Ask a question or request a free call

Would you like a completely free, no-obligation consultation where we can talk about your goals and you can ask me any questions that you wish?

Email me using the form and we can arrange a time to chat that’s convenient for you.

In the consultation, I’ll listen carefully to your needs and talk you through how I might be able to help you. If I feel that I’m not the best person to assist you, I’ll be completely honest and try to recommend someone from my network of trusted friends and professionals who can.

Paul’s extensive experience as a personal trainer and of the human body helped me build a great individualised programme combining diverse training methods that kept things challenging (yet achievable)!

His careful, skilled, commonsense approach helped me overcome some complicated pre-existing shoulder problems that I’m pretty certain other trainers would not have had the experience or knowledge to work around.

I’m taking a greater interest in my nutrition using his sustainable approach, thinking about how food affects me and what to do to make sure that any ‘treats’ are balanced out and my fitness and weight goals aren’t affected.

After just a few months of weekly sessions with Paul, I’m also fitter than I’ve ever been! The change in my body shape is very noticeable and has so far elicited many positive comments from friends and family which has helped me feel more confident.

I have been working with Paul for about 5 months now. In that time I have learned how to balance food, exercise and life. He is kind, empathic, and flexible in his approach. On our first meet up, he put me at ease straight away. I felt comfortable talking openly about my weight and wellbeing and where I wanted to be. This has always been a challenge for me particularly as the orthopaedic problems with my legs has always made me feel restricted. Paul never saw my issues as restrictions. He continuously looked for alternative ways around things in terms of exercise, whilst reassuring me along the way.

Before contacting him I felt out of control with my weight, stressed, and restricted with exercise. Through sensitive coaching and a bespoke exercise program, Paul has allowed me to change my mindset about all of these issues. I have lost 9lbs over the summer and I feel good in my clothes again. I now feel back in control and, most importantly, happy again. You really have been amazing and changed my outlook on health and wellbeing completely. Thank you so much, Paul.

Sign up for the balance newsletters and get more help with your fitness and wellbeing goals

I signed up with balance because for the past 5 years I’ve been trying to lose weight and get in shape. I’ve tried shakes, soups, pills and points however I’ve never managed to stick to a plan.

Balance has helped me where no other plan has by breaking my goals down into specific areas, helping me to understand that thinking is just as important as diet and exercise, and teaching me that by making small changes I can create a big difference.

The result is that although I don’t feel my lifestyle has changed much since beginning the programme, looking back I’ve made some pretty big improvements. Before balance I thought I hated exercise, Paul has helped me to understand that I don’t hate exercise – I just didn’t like the exercise I was doing. By tailoring plans to suit what I enjoy and what works for me, I’ve begun to look forward to my exercise sessions.

I always thought I ate healthily and there was not much I could do to improve my diet. Through tools that Paul has provided me with, I am able to work out which areas I could improve on as well as the areas I’m good at.

It’s great that Paul is always around to answer questions and offer support. Sessions with him are motivating, informative and fun.

Paul and Balance has given me the tools and knowledge I needed to achieve my goals!
