Adventures. Events. Challenges. Races.

I love them. Here’s just a few of the things I’ve taken on (so far!):

  • Cycling: Land’s End to John o’ Groats, London to Paris (300 miles) in 24 hours, hiking the famous UK Three Peaks and cycling the 450 miles in between over four days, London to Brussels via Amsterdam, taking on the three ascents of the infamous Mont Ventoux in a single day, conquering many more Alpine climbs and, most recently, a two-month, 2,000 mile self-supported trip around Britain’s National Parks and AONBs with my wonderful partner, Lou.

  • Running: Six marathons, an ultra-marathon, the famous Man versus Horse event around the hills and mud of mid-Wales, and countless shorter races.

  • Hiking: In recent years, I’ve begun to find joy in long-distance hiking too. We’ve completed the 102-mile Cotswold Way, the 50-mile Mendip Way and, maybe most spectacular of all, the 84-mile Hadrian’s Wall National Trail (although it ended up being over 90 miles).

My latest book, about cycling from John o’Groats to Land’s End, and how you can do it too. Click here to get your very own signed copy.

Adventure blogs

Adventure. NOUN. An unusual and exciting or daring experience.

There’s something truly wonderful about going on an adventure. Whether it’s simply exploring a new place with a short walk or preparing for and conquering your next big fitness challenge, it brings a sense of anticipation, excitement, and once you’ve done it, joy! Adventure is something that everyone can do. It’s great for your soul, your fitness, and your mental wellbeing.

We love getting out on adventures big or small - walking, cycling, running, heading off into hills, mountains, and forests, wild camping, bothying, or sleeping in our little T5 van.

These adventure blogs contain tales of our adventures, plus hints, tips, and advice on how you can have your own.
