This is our Christmas party and you’re more than welcome to join us and get into the festive spirit. It’s a lovely stroll through our local area and as we love it so much, we thought we’d share it with you! Meet us on Frenchay Common and we’ll head down quiet lanes full of quaint country cottages and into Oldbury Court Estate.
Even though the house is long gone, you can still imagine how grand the grounds of this former mansion house were. We’ll follow the path up to the location of the old house, then follow a stream down to the river before crossing an old stone bridge at the site of a former mill. Head on to the only mill house still standing and then we climb up out of the gorge (on a path, not ropes!) and head back along what must once have been a little old country lane but now borders the houses of the modern day.
After crossing another stream we head back onto the common just in time for the wonderful White Lion pub to open its doors. Let the festivities begin!

There’s absolutely no obligation but we’ll share a link with you where you can make a small donation to our fundraising efforts afterwards if you wish. Any help is hugely appreciated.
