Our good causes
We’re delighted to use these rides to support all of our great charities; Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, Devon in Sight and One25. There’s absolutely no obligation but we’ll share a link with you where you can make a small donation to our fundraising efforts afterwards if you wish. Any help is hugely appreciated.
Setting out from the Avon Valley Railway, join us for a peaceful ride along the Bristol-Bath Railway path before heading south on the old Bath to Bournemouth line, known as the Two Tunnels Greenway. Climb steadily out of Bath before heading into Combe Down Tunnel, the longest cycling tunnel in the UK. Enjoy the lighting and classical music and emerge on the other side riding over impressive viaducts.
A short diversion east through the sleepy village of Monkton Combe leads us onto the Kennet & Avon Canal and we follow the gravel towpath, passing the Avoncliff Aqueduct where the canal travels over the river, before heading on into Bradford-on-Avon. Enjoy a bite to eat before heading back and taking a more northerly route along the canal and through the outskirts of Bath before rejoining the Bristol-Bath path for the final stretch.
We’ll ensure that it’s a leisurely group ride enjoyable and fun for all, with plenty of time to catch up and make new friends.
